Q&A (Everything You Need to Know)
Q&A (Everything You Need to Know)
What should I wear? Wear comfortable clothing you can move freely in (leggings, joggers, or shorts). We practice in grip-socks or bare feet for better stability.
Can I bring someone along? Yes! We offer "Duo" private sessions which are a cost-effective way to train with a friend or partner while still receiving personalised attention.
Do I need to see a Doctor first? If you are recovering from surgery or have a chronic medical condition, we recommend you talk with your GP to ensure this is the right time to return to exercise. Bespoke 1-2-1 coaching tailored to your body’s specific needs are offered, including chair-based Pilates, to provide a safe and supportive environment for all abilities.
What is Pilates? Pilates is a low-impact exercise system designed to strengthen the body while improving postural alignment and flexibility. At Peak Agility, we move beyond the "gym" approach. We use a combination of floor-based work and small equipment to target the deep architectural muscles of your body—the ones that support your spine and joints.
How it Can Help You? By focusing on the quality of movement rather than the quantity of repetitions, our sessions help you:
Reduce Chronic Pain: Specifically effective for lower back, neck, and shoulder tension.
Enhance Stability: Build a "core" that supports you in everyday life, from carrying shopping to hiking.
Improve Mental Clarity: We integrate breathwork and mindfulness, helping you manage stress and find a "natural connection" within yourself.
Restore Confidence: Learn to trust your body again after injury or a period of inactivity.
